Exploring different post workflows
- There are many different types of post-production workflows. Editors working in a large post house have highly collaborative, very detailed workflows involving larger post-production crews, shared storage, intricate handoffs from offline to online editing and many different meetings with different tiers of directors, producers and other stakeholders and so on. Others are a total one-man band, a solo editor working on a single system with local storage with minimal meetings with other creative stakeholders. Personally, I'm working on the one-man band end of the spectrum with total understanding that I need to run plenty of ideas and rough cuts and fine cuts by the right people at the right time. So all of that said, this course cannot address the one type of post workflow because that simply doesn't exist but I will attempt to cover the basics of some of the most common characteristics that most successful post-production workflows have.
