- Many PowerPoint slides are going to have animations in them, now you have a handful of options when it comes to capturing these animations. Personally, I'm a big fan of capturing the video live from the presentation itself, that's actually what we're doing here, we're going out the HDMI port of the computer, and it would be very easy to just open up the presentation, run it out of a computer into a disk recorder or some sort of capturing program that you might have, there are lots of disk recorders on the market from a variety of manufacturers, and what they typically are used for, is to take the HDMI output of a camera and capture it with less compression than something like a DSLR might apply. But for most uses you can actually run that out the HDMI port of a computer and capture a high-definition video feed, or even a 4K feed, depending upon the presentation, computer and hardware that you're using.
