- So we've gotten to the point where we've laid everything in. We've watched it and watched it and watched it again. We've gone through the edit hundreds of times to make additional tweaks to our rough cut. Things seem to be looking and sounding good. But then again, we're at a very precarious point in the process, because so far, we've been editing in a bit of a vacuum. All the thoughts and opinions about how everything is working have been isolated, and after all, we're very close to the video and we're very close to the subject. It's time to figure out how things are working to outside viewers, so it's time to start screening it for feedback. It's good to have several different categories of people who you show the video to. Your friends and colleagues are a good choice because they're often a reliable source of general public reaction, honest criticism, and some good old fashioned praise, too.
