- Earlier we talked about the importance of bounces and how you can direct your key light off of them to soften it or use it to have a nice fill, and I specifically talked about this bounce, which was a DIY bounce. And on one side, I have foamcore, on the other side, I have black Duvetyne that's acting as negative fill, and sandwiched in between is a piece of beadboard. So, the reason why you want to do it like a sandwich is when you take your quacker clamp, you can have a nice bite, and that way, you can now position your bounce any angle you want to go and anywhere you want to go. You want to make sure to make something that's not only robust, but actually usable on a professional set. So, kind of splayed out in front of me here, I have a couple of things. I've got a piece of beadboard, and this is the hardware store variety, so it's kind of the flakey stuff that we talked about before.
