Frames for fabrics

- Here we're going to discuss several options on different frame sizes for fabrics. The most popular are the four by four and six by six. I like to use the six by six for an overhead or a background net, and the four by four for front and side diffusion and bounce fabrics. You can also get larger if needed. I like Westcott and Matthews frames because they're the most common, and also very portable. The Westcott frames are made of aluminum, with Velcro fasteners on each tube to attach the fabrics. To make a four by four, you have four 46 inch sections with four corner sections. Just slide them together and it creates a rigid four by four frame. Need a larger six by six? Just add in four 22 inch and four two inch segments, and you now have a larger frame. Having this versatility is great, and keeps the setup nice and compact for easy storing and transporting to your locations. The six by six Matthews light-duty frame comes in eight sections.
