- [Instructor] So we're kind of winding down on this training series but I have a few closing thoughts for you before we go. In this tutorial we're going to look specifically at how you might be able to become a better visual effects artist. Number one: become kind of like a student of life. Observe stuff, notice shadows and the way that light falls on different objects, different textures, the way things move. You also might consider watching bad movies, or, bad visual effects shots in even good movies. And then ask questions. What's off? What's not working here? And what would fix it? Also, be around people that are better than you. That might mean that you need to move to a different geographical location where there's a bigger film market. But rubbing shoulders and eating lunch with people that are better than you is a great way to kind of up your game a little bit.
