Getting a peer review for time estimation

- As you start to put together a project plan, it's a really good idea to take advantage of peer review. This could be a teammate that looks things over, a manager who has more experience, or even a colleague within your company or maybe in another market that you don't directly compete against. What you're looking for here is someone to review things. The first step is just number checking. As you were using spreadsheets and calculating, did you miss any cells? I've seen instances where bad ranges have been set in a spreadsheet and even though all of the items were accurately estimated, they didn't get added up properly. You also want to look for forgotten charges. One of the biggest mistakes I ever made was early on in my company where we budgeted to shoot something on film.
