Handling incoming cards

- When you're on set, people are going to eventually start throwing you cards fast and furious. Particularly if it's a multi camera shoot. What's going to happen is those cards are all going to start to fill up and very quickly, lots of memory cards are going to come your way. Well you need a solution on how to handle those cards. First up, make sure you clarify who's allowed to accept the cards. You might be on location and people think it's totally okay to just dump cards on your table, even if you're not there. Well, you don't want to come back from grabbing a cup of coffee or going to the bathroom and find seven cards unlabeled. Make sure you have a work flow that handles who can leave a card and who can accept it. It's not okay for a camera operator to take the card and then give it to somebody else who then gives it to somebody else who then gives it to you, if that person is unable to answer basic questions like, "Which camera was this from? "Which card number is this?" That…
