How to approach prepping your production
- Once you've got your script in place, and you have an understanding of the language of visual storytelling and what you're going to be using to tell your story, it's time to actually start preparing to make your web series or your short. And this process of preparation, prep or pre-production, can be extremely overwhelming because there is a ton of stuff to be thinking about, there's a lot of stuff to do, everything from finding your locations to, you know, renting gear, and especially when you're just starting out, it can be daunting, and it can be hard to know where to start. So that's what we're going to talk about, is how to approach prepping your production. And for me, the best way to start is by taking a look at your script and starting to identify potential challenges, basically, just trying to get an overview of what it is that you might have to be dealing with.
