How to be fast and efficient in your setup
- A lot of times, you'll be working with someone who's got a very time-sensitive schedule. And in those cases, you need to be ready to go when they say the time is ready to go. The very last thing you want to do is go over their time. One of the ways to do that, to maximize your efficiency, is to use battery-powered lights because you don't have to run extension cords on the floor, creating tripping hazards, it takes more time, and you don't have to deal with that. So, having a battery-powered light is actually really, really important in those cases. Another one is actually being aware of the logistics before you get inside the location that you're doing. Doing a quick tour of where you're going to be and actually setting up your lights and your stands outside of the room before the interview time and setup happens is also a good idea.
