The idea for Project RELO
- I want to tell you how the idea of this film came to be. I knew I wanted to make a documentary and that I wanted to make a series of courses about making that documentary, so my goal was set, but I didn't have the most important part which was what the film would be about. So, I took the approach of reading and listening to, and watching as much as I could to identify potential leads for a shorter story or idea that I could develop further. Specifically, I wanted to find a person or organization that was doing really interesting things that no one else was doing, but who hadn't yet received a lot of exposure. So, it was roughly in that vein that I was looking for the perfect film. I'd only been at it for a week or so when something literally landed in my lap. I got a LinkedIn In Mail message from a guy named Mike Nuteson who I'd never met.
