Identifying all cameras on-set

- Before you bring clients on set or you roll the first shot on the shoot, it's pretty important that you get things organized. What I'm going to do here is make sure that all the cameras are properly labeled. Not just inside the memory cards, but actually physically on the cameras so we know which angles are in play. This'll really come in handy as people make shoot notes. Maybe the producer's going to have some feedback. Maybe the director will have some feedback. It's important to know what's happening. Plus, when it comes time to actually organize that media on a hard drive, making sure each camera has a unique name and a name that persists throughout the day is very important. Now, I know people that name their cameras everything from science fiction characters to after their kids, but I'm going to keep it pretty boring today. With a piece of masking tape, we're just going to label these cameras one, two and three. Now, what I prefer to do is look at them from left to right. So…
