Identifying local laws and restrictions
- Knowing all the laws and regulations of a location is very important when you're location scouting. Not knowing these and going on a location without knowing these can cause a lot problems, or even shut your production down. So try and check OSHA's website to see if there's any regulations or laws for the area you're shooting at. If you're flying with drones, you need to check and see if there's any no fly zones. Identify all the facility safety rules and make sure you know them and that you're following them. This is going to keep you and your crew safe. Identifying these laws and regulations of that area are going to let you know if this fits into your production and it's going to keep you from having problems on production day.
