Identifying your time and budget restrictions

- So before you start looking for a location, you kind of need to figure out what your parameters are in your budget restrictions. These parameters are really going to decide where you're looking for your location. How much crew can you afford? This will impact the locations you can use. If you can only afford the essential crew members and not a lot of production assistants, you probably don't want to pick a location that requires a lot of moving pieces, like far distance for moving gear. How many days of shooting are in your budget? If you only have a few shooting days in your budget, you will want to find locations that you can get more scenes out of. The more you change locations, the more time you're eating out of your production budget. How much is your location fee budget?
