Importing VR video into Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe Premiere Pro supports VR video. But before you can bring the VR video in direct from camera you may need to do some additional processing. Some cameras though also work directly and will be able to be browsed in the media browser. Let's take a look at how we can prepare the footage and make it ready for import. Before we edit with our video you may need to optimize it. Let's take a look at this clip here. You see that this is some VR180 footage captured with two lenses on a Google camera. Before I can edit that in Premiere I need to take it into Google software, the VR180 creator. And I'll choose Convert for editing, now what I need to do is drop the file in. And what it's going to do is remove the distortion. I can then choose a layout top versus bottom or left and right, either will work with Premiere. Make sure you specify if you want to maintain the 180 degree field of view, which Premiere does support, or if you need the image to repeat for a 360 degree field of view…
