Importing into a nonlinear editor (NLE)

- Importing the footage into an NLE is pretty straightforward. This will vary depending upon which tool you use, but let's explore two of them quickly. Included with your purchase of a Blackmagic camera is a free copy of DaVinci Resolve. This gives you a licensed version with all of the unlocked features. Blackmagic also offers a slightly limited version that you can also download for free. To bring in media, click the lower left to select the Media tab. Now, find your hard drive. You can select a folder that contains multiple clips and simply right click and choose to add that folder into the media pool. This will bring things in. Now, go ahead and switch back to editing and you can select the media pool. You'll see in this case, the clip became available. Now, if there are subfolders, we can choose to grab those as well. Let's go in here and grab this particular one, Add Folder into Media Pool, and you see all of those become available. You see the clips have been added and I can…
