Keeping the camera sensor clean

- Anytime you have a detachable lens, you introduce the risk for dirt or debris or smudges to get on your camera sensor, which can dramatically lower the quality of the footage. This is not something you can fix in post, so it's really important that you take care. Now, we already talked about strategies of making sure you keep the caps clean and show care of turning the camera off when switching lenses, but there are some things you can do if you need to clean your sensor. Now, one of the easiest is to simply, with the cap removed, blow out the debris. In this case, I've got two different units here. They're both pretty simple. And what these allow for is the ability to just do short puffs of air. With a gentle squeeze, it pushes out air. Same thing here. Now, these are just two different brands, same idea. One of the things to keep in mind is that you should never use canned or compressed air. That's because this is going to get very cold when you spray it. And while these are fine…
