- Measuring KPI or key performance indicators can be of great benefit to help you narrow down on your video ad concepts. Some of the key performance indicators when it comes to social media include reach. That is how many people you serve your ad to. Then we have engagement. How many people actually engage with your ad. For a video ad, this could be a number of things. That could be people who actually click on your video ad. It could also deal with the duration of a video ad. So if someone's engaged for longer than, let's say, a period of 30 seconds, is actually watching what you are giving them. Then we have conversion. That is when someone takes a step that you want them to. Maybe you give them a video ad that directs them to a website, it encourages people to sign up for your newsletter.
