Keying fine details

at one of the biggest challenges in keying, and one of the struggles I had constantly on the assurance, that of keying fine details. Like Nattie's hair here. As I've talked about a lot on these film-making courses, I didn't want to do anything the easy way. So we took Nattie with her long, light brown hair, and blew it with wind. and I was generally pretty happy with. Cause you know, long hair blowing in the wind just looks awesome. So how did I do it? Well, in addition to shooting things correctly in the tips we've talked about already. One of my favorite keying tricks is separating the footage onto multiple layers. That way you can use more aggressive settings for the body or the face or whatever things have hard edges, and use more gentle settings for the hair or whatever things have softer edges.
