Lighting the scene
to take a huge leap forward in making our scene look more beautiful by adding lights. We're going to see the difference that lights can make and again, this is almost like reliving the cinematography course but virtually which is really fun. So what I'm going to do here is I'm going to double click in the project panel on a new project let's go ahead and organize our project really quickly first. Because right now we have cylinder, lathe, and spline in our object manager, and this is not very telling of what's going on. So what I want to do is close up my lathe. Let's do some house cleaning here. I'm going to go ahead and click on the lathe and I'm going to go ahead and call this candlestick, and I'm going to go ahead and click on the cylinder. Double click on that and call that candle. Now, I want to treat these as a group. So I don't really need to have these be a separate object anymore, so what I want to do is click one of these objects like the candle, hold shift and click the…
