Location access and time of day considerations

- By now, you should have already identified your location's availability before going on your physical scout. Now try to schedule your location scout at the same time that you want to shoot. This will help you identify any obstacles that might occur on your shoot day. Identify the timeframe you can have access to the location 'cause you need to pad for load in and load out. You need to identify areas that are off-limit so that can be communicated ahead of time. You need to make sure they have a loading dock. You have to be able to get all that gear inside to where you're going. These loading docks are outside. We shot in winter, and it snowed, so there was a big obstacle of a huge sheet of ice that we had to get through and dig our way in first. So maybe you have to use an elevator.
