Making three copies

- I'm a huge proponent of a simple workflow called 3-2-1 Backup, and the solution is in the name. The three is simply meaning three copies of your data. Two means two different formats, essentially two different mediums minimum. And one of those copies needs to be stored off site. Now you might be wondering how are we going to implement 3-2-1 Backup when we're on a field shoot? You can't really do an off site backup when you're off site. But that's okay, we're going to modify the approach just slightly. Let's start with the first part, three. Now, this means before you leave the location you need three copies of data, two copies backed up to a hard drive and leave one on the card. If you're going to wipe those cards and put them back into circulation, then you're going to need three copies of the data. Now, you might be thinking, three copies? Doesn't that seem paranoid?
