- One of the things that dramatically lowers the quality of most screencasts, is that they're rambly. There's no clear structure to them. Folks' time is valuable and you want to respect your audience. One technique that I use to create a plan, is a mind map. A mind map is a visual strategy of organizing your thoughts, before you give a presentation. Let me show you how it can work. I'm using some free online software here called Miro. There are paid plans if you want more advanced features. Miro allows for several different types of project boards and they offer a lot of tools that are effective for project managers. Let's take advantage of the mind map template. Now my maps are not exclusive to Miro. There are several companies that offer dedicated mind mapping software, so you may find a product that you like, including one that can work on a tablet or a smartphone.
