- Let's talk about networking. Now way back in chapter two, we talked about the elevator pitch, right? So it's really important that you practice that and make sure that as you're growing your business, you're including in that your aspirational elements. What I mean by that is what you're trying to accomplish, not just what you're doing right now. I don't want you to make up something that you haven't really done or couldn't possibly do, but what I mean is if you're an assistant editor and now you're really pitching yourself as an editor and you started doing editor projects, then you wanna say, "Hi, I'm Amy and I'm an editor." You don't wanna say, "I've been an assistant editor." So you wanna always evolve your brand, make sure that your elevator pitch keeps track of what you're trying to do.
