- Let's talk about playing back in more detail and how you might render out a Silhouette. Pause all of your playback controls right here with the viewer. First time you playback a piece of footage, or after you've made changes to your node network, it has to load the frames into RAM. Once they're in RAM, then it can achieve real time playback. So here's real time. The target frame rate is set by the session settings and is listed right here. Now once we get to more complex node networks with more difficult calculations, you'll have to wait longer and longer for the frames to load into RAM, and have to wait longer and longer to get to real time playback. There are ways to optimize the playback though, to speed up that process. First place to start is with your Cache Settings. That's under File, Preferences, Cache. And here you can set the amount of RAM used by Silhouette. How many of your frames the program attempts to…
