Powering the Pocket and Micro cameras
- It's really simple. No power, no picture. Making sure that your cameras run means that you need to have enough batteries. Now, fortunately, the Blackmagic cameras have standardized on a very common battery. It's the Canon LP-E6 battery, and it doesn't actually have to be from Canon. It also works with the newer LP-E6N battery. Now, this is the same battery that's widely used in many common Canon cameras, like the 5D series. Now, this battery is widely available from many sources. Now, you are free to go ahead and use official Canon batteries. They are high-quality batteries and they will absolutely work really well. Now, in this case, we have an official Canon battery attached. And it's really simple. I just pull the switch on the top here, and the battery slips right off. You see at the bottom down there are simple contact plates. And this lets the battery know that it is attached. To take the battery and attach it is really simple.
