Preparing SSDs for recording with a computer

- If you're working with SSD disks, it's also possible to format these on a computer. However, you will need a special way to mount them, and you're not going to be able to just plug it in directly to the computer. Most SSDs are going to be done in a bare state. So when we open these up, you see that the drive itself is really designed to be mounted in some sort of case. What I can do is take that and attach it to a sled. So the sled here is designed to easily hold the drive, and what I can do is slip this into place. Now pretty simple, just line up those materials and slide it in like so. It should make a easy little connection. And then it is attached. You'll see some sort of blinking indicating, and it's going to mount. If you work with these often, Blackmagic even makes a multi-SSD reader that you could attach to your computer to easily mount them. Now, pretty simple here. We are attached.
