Preparing a layered file for animation
- Logo animation is a popular way to reveal the brand of a company. Maybe it's the title sequence at the start of a film, or a dynamic animation that you use at the start or end of a video to capture attention for the brand. In any case, there are some extra steps you're going to want to do using Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Illustrator is a standard tool for vector editing and it has some similarities with Photoshop. Let me show you what we can do to quickly prepare a vector file for Photoshop editing or motion graphics. In this case, we've opened up a vector logo and you see that by default, everything is on one layer. Well, we certainly can animate things by changing the scale or size of that layer, but it's not a very compelling animation.
