Preparing for the shoot day

- As you start to wrap the pre-production stage, it's all in the service of having a great production, and it's important that you make that transition. This is the point when the project goes from something theoretical to very practical, and it's important to just recheck that nothing has changed. I often find that when I'm putting together a production schedule and moving into that stage, that variables have actually changed on me. Maybe the due date slips or some of the people that we are intending to talk to have left. Sometimes it'll vary greatly depending upon the project. Now on a small project, pre-production might be just a day or two, but on a big project, it can be months, and you can't assume that things are not going to change on you.
