Preparing your presentation

- Before you can record your screencast, you actually need to organize the content and there are a few things to think about. First up, what is it that you're going to be demonstrating? You need to make sure that the content you're showing is prepared. A little bit later we're going to record a sample screencast with some photo editing. Well, I need to make sure that the photo editing software is loaded. And I need to pick out the picture in advance as well as rehearse with it. I want to make sure that everything works. So I'm not figuring it out on the fly. Sure, you want things to feel spontaneous but you don't want it to actually be spontaneous. So it's good that you've practiced and that you've looked things over. Another thing I like to do is build out a Keynote or a PowerPoint presentation.
