[Man] - With the end of this course, we're now done with production and officially moving on to post-production. In the next course in the series, we're going to focus on editing. Editing is a really underappreciated art form by a lot of new filmmakers. They often just see it as kind of putting pieces together. But it's so much more than that. An old filmmaking adage says that you tell the story 3 times: One's in the script, then you tell on set in production, then you tell it for the last time in the edit. And the editing challenges we had on the assurance were just fascinating to me. After editing the film initially, the film was an extremely boring fourteen minutes long. And I will swallow every last ounce of pride and post that atrocious rough cut in the next course. So you could see the film that resembles what we shot.
