Production planning case study
- I've given you a lot to think about in this chapter for production planning. I think the best way to really show you how this all comes together, is to look at a real project in my planning. You can follow along with the production plan provided. Water Science with Wade, was an elementary science education series, where we essentially rebooted the Bill Nye the Science Guy concept, with an 18-year-old host. The project called for three episodes, on third, fourth, and sixth grade-level water science. Each episode would run approximately 15 minutes, so I was producing a total of 45 minutes of final materials. You can follow the links to watch the episodes. The calculations on time and personnel were made both through my own years of experience, and through discussions with major crew members, such as the director of photography, and the primary editor.
