- If you weren't excited enough by the prospect of electronic communication between the camera and a phone or tablet, I'm going to show you one more thing that's pretty cool. And that's the ability to program focus. Now, focus pulling is often a complex art and something that an AC will often do for the camera, the assistant camera operator, and this is the assistant that helps the director of photography pull off the shots that they need. But this is something you might need to do yourself, or maybe you were shooting an interview and you wanted to rack focus from one person to another. Well, this can be done very easily, right from your mobile device. Now watch how it works. What I need to do is go in here and I've got three marks, mark A, mark B, mark C. You might have heard the phrase hitting your mark.
