Recording your screen with Camtasia
(upbeat music) - Now, we're going to record a tutorial here in just a second, but we want to share a few practical pieces of advice that we've learned through the years. One of the things that always seems to happen to me when I'm getting ready to record a tutorial is I get interrupted. People will knock on the door, they'll need things, the phone will ring, so I try to get into a do not disturb mode. Put a sign on the door that says, "I'm recording. "Quiet please." Unplug my phone, put my phone on silent, all of these things that will interrupt you. Chiming email beeps, quit your email application. - Notifications, things of that nature, yeah. And if you're recording at home, it's the chagrin of my family all the time because I do this. I might even do things like, "Hey, guys, for the next hour "I'm going to turn off the air conditioning" just so I'm not hearing that in the background. So you kind of have to work with those around with you to determine what you can do and not do. But…
