- [Luisa] You should keep record of what's happening with your equipment, just like you may be keeping a log book for your own personal flight time, you may want to have one for your aircraft which includes dates where maintenance was performed. This will be highly beneficial for you and your aircraft. So, consider maintaining a log book for the drone itself, the control station, launch and recovery equipment, data link equipment, payload and any other components you may have. I usually have a log book for my flight that includes date, which drone I flew, some conditions like weather and duration of flight. In addition to that, I have a log book for my drones and my batteries. Manufacturers may recommend a maintenance or replacement schedule for system components, so keeping track of usage time is a really good idea. Document any repair, modification, overhaul or replacement. Record a time-in service for that component…
