Refining the scope

- While there's a good chance you initially had to spell out the scope of the project when you were doing the proposal or getting the project kicked off, it's now time to refine the scope. This is where you want to be very specific. For example, if it's a photo shoot, how many locations? How many people are going to be photographed? If it's a video, how many videos? What's the runtime? And you need to be specific. It's not okay to say it's a five to 10 minute video. Because, theoretically, and actually, a 10 minute video should take twice as many resources to create as a five minute video. So unless the schedule or budget is that flexible, you need to be very specific about what it is you're going to deliver, as well as spell out any potential charges for things running over.
