- Another thing I like to make sure that I do the day of the shoot is one more time through my specs. What am I shooting, what is my frame rate, progressive or interlaced, am I shooting 4K, 2K, all those sorts of things. Hopefully we've already made all those decisions but crews do a lot of different jobs in a year. They're typically freelanced and working on lots of different projects so it's never a bad thing to review the specs at the start of the shoot day. Now one of the things you might want to review is has anything changed since you set up those specs. Maybe you now have added another vertical platform for distribution, that's something to be put into consideration, or are there other versions that you're going to plan short versions long versions, those might need some different shot coverage or some different audio elements.
