Reviewing the golden rules of effective project management
- While the formalized practice of project management involves many different techniques, I'd like to share with you four rules that I find quite helpful. These are based on my own personal experience and they serve as common sense. Now, there are a lot of specifics you'll learn in this course, but these should be four guiding principles. The first is don't make them ask. What I mean by this is you don't want to lose the faith of your clients. If your clients need to ask you for an update or ask where something is, it means that they're likely worried or that you've done something that concerns them. That's not to say that you have to constantly give them a play by play, but you should have a communication schedule and an update schedule outlined and they should feel confident that they know that things are running smoothly.
