- [Instructor] Most of the best motion graphics work you see begins with designing one or more still images. And then there's a natural path from Photoshop Designs to animation and After Effects. So here are the basics. This is a design for a lower third for a video. In Photoshop, I don't need to have video and all I'm really doing in Photoshop is creating the visual style. Now this might seem really obvious, but too many people go right into After Effects and start animating only to find out that, whether it's a client or the team or whoever, or even the artist themselves, weren't really on board with the basic design. So looking at this design that we'll work with, we have type with a bit of a drop shadow on it and then just this simple bar element.
