Setting the canvas

- The use of a logo is very popular in video, maybe it's to help brand the client or get the identity of the show out there, or to show ownership of content. As more and more video is used for branding and marketing purposes, logos become even more important. But typically, you want to integrate this into the show. Well, this is often done with a bug where you take a small logo and place it in the corner as a watermark. Let's build one. Now in Photoshop, let's make a new canvas. I'll choose File New. And I'll work with the HD space. Now I can click Create, and we get the new open canvas. This is going to give us the correct size for the image. What we want to do is size and place the logo. You see here, for example, these lines so ideally, the elements of the logo that are meant to be read, will fall inside.
