Shooting images with expanded dynamic range (brackets)

- Earlier, you learned about the benefits of high dynamic-range photography, using multiple shots to show off the full tonal range and details in a location. The equipment needs are pretty simple, but you do need to know how to use the gear. - Let's go on location and shoot some HDR images. - For this particular location, the lighting was pretty simple. Since there were not many windows to worry about, we were able to go with a smaller bracketed range. Most of the shots were captured with a five-bracket HDR sequence. And we were able to space those brackets anywhere from one stop to two stops apart each. This allowed for plenty of coverage. Even a three-bracket sequence on some of the smaller cameras like the Insta360 showed increased detail. The coverage really allowed for the highlights of the ceiling lights and any dark shadows or details on the artwork on the walls to come through.
