Silks and other soft light modifiers
- So you can see here I've got a large variety of silks, modifiers in frames and different sizes. Now, the reason why they come in different sizes has to do with a couple of things. One thing is logistics, you know, how much equipment can you fit into certain spaces? Sometimes you might be shooting in a tight space and guess what? This ends up being your diffuser, your key light. It's not ideal because this is only a 12 inch by 18 inch modifier. For example, in an ideal world, the reason why you have different sizes of diffusers is because they need to go on different lights. So for example, for this light, this is the perfect size. And you'll notice that what's happening is that we're going from this size of a soft light to this size of a soft light. And it's softening the light quality as well. And you can tell just by putting it there. So you can see how just a small little silk, framed silk, can change the light quality of a little light just like this. But in a perfect world, you…
