Stands and grip gear

- OK, we talked about diffusion, black netting, and the different frame sizes to use with them. Now we need a way to get this stuff up with stands and mounting gear. If you already have some lighting gear, then you might not need to pick up a few of these items, so let's go through all the grip gear and the stands that you need. You're going to need some sturdy stands like these C-stands for the smaller 4x4 frames, and don't forget to sandbag them. For the overhead butterfly, I suggest a heavy duty stand with a wide base, even better, a stand with wheels like these. They're very sturdy and the wheels make moving an overhead so much easier and safer. This will give more stability to the setup as well. Wind is always an issue when shooting outside, especially with frames that have scrim on them. They can be like a sail in the wind and could knock the whole thing over. Use sandbags on all the stands' legs to insure the setup is solid and safe. Did I mention always? Sturdy higher quality…
