Staying organized and reviewing footage

- One of the greatest things about video editing applications these days is that you can get up and running with editing your footage right away. But one of the most important things to do before that is to organize your footage. Especially on long form productions as well as if you have a lot of material that you shot when you were on the road. This movie is all about utilizing that video editing software in order to organize your material and I'm going to show you how to work with it. So once you've copied your footage over to an external drive, it's important to start to organize it. For my Iceland, Finland, and Norway trip, what I did is I broke it down to location and then I broke down each of the shoots into days. So the days that I did go to shoot here in Tromso, if I actually reveal this material, you can see here, that it's broken down into days and nights that I did film, and sometimes placing contacts when we looked at something very in particular such as a time lapse…
