Tips for moving cameras

- So the stabilization in some of these consumer cameras is so good that you can just pick up and shoot whatever you like. For instance take the Insta360 One X, it's built in stabilization is awesome, and in fact if it is actually shaky, if you're shaky the entire time, you can bring this into post and fix it there as well. There are also several stabilization tools and post production software that you can use, as well as with consumer cameras, such the Vuze and the Insta360. Now there's something else to keep in mind about these cameras and most of the time they scream move me. Now with that said, I want you to encourage the end in mind. We've talked about thinking of the camera as a viewer, and if the camera is the viewer, you may want to encourage the person to look around their environment, and one effective way of doing this is to not move the camera at all. For example, think of a concert experience, that you may wish to share, from your perspective. For the viewer to be grounded in your world it may be better to show it to them as static. With it being static they are free to look wherever they want, without becoming motion sick. Now, with these cameras looking like action cameras, they're great for when you capture 360 content and showing as flat footage and they're also some great uses for movement, but when you talk about the overall 360 experience, you just want to keep in mind how that user is going to feel when they look at your content.
