Transferring data

- Once a card has been logged, it's a good idea to move on to actually transferring the data. Let's go ahead and copy the data to one of our drives. Earlier we talked about several different approaches to do this, such as using specialized software, but for right now, I'm just going to invoke a simple system copy. Let's go to our data, there it is, there's the camera. And I'm actually going to go up one level here, so I'll go to this PC and select my memory card and with the right click, I'll choose to copy. Now, I'll target my media drive and make a new folder. Let's name this with the client's initials, underscore, and the date of the shoot. I'll step into the folder and with the right click, choose paste. This is going to copy the entire folder structure. However, I want you to notice one thing here. It's called cam SD. But let's stop that. The problem here, is that every card we transfer is going to be called cam SD. So let's be a little more specific. I'll throw that in the trash…
