Using ShotPut Pro to transfer data

- A well known, dedicated transfer utility is ShotPut Pro. It's been around for a long time, and it's a cross platform solution. It's a great tool for taking many different cards, and then targeting them for backup to multiple drives. And what's nice about it is once you set up your workflow, it's fairly automated. ShotPut Pro is designed to really automate the process of offloading media. What you'll want to do is create an offload preset. This will tell it where the media should go. For example, I can name this with the name of the client. FCEF, and the date of the shoot. I can choose to apply information about the folder. Let's go ahead and choose a number, we'll go with consecutive, and we'll add a prefix. In this case, CAM_01_CARD_, and you'll see how it creates the correct name. And I can choose where this gets stored. Let's go ahead and click the plus button here, we'll target our removable drive, I'll go to my transfer folder, and target CAM_01, and click OK.
