- Vimeo started as a community initially for filmmakers, but a lot of businesses have moved their video to Vimeo's website because it gives them more control. Quite simply, there's a huge difference in what are called terms of service and so a lot of companies that are very concerned about having more control over their intellectual property prefer Vimeo. As a paid service, you have a lot more rights over your content than you do on a site like Google. - That's true, but it also comes down to aesthetics. A lot of people prefer kind of the look and feel, but also the branding abilities and ease of use of customizing the player of Vimeo versus YouTube. - [Rich] So if we go in here, I can click on a video to edit its settings.
