- I've mentioned a few tools that are useful to insure the health and wellbeing of your hypersyndication strategy. Let's just go over those one more time so you know where to find them and can make them a part of your workflow. First up, is a feed validator. There are a few out there such as feedvalidator.org or a newer one from validator.w3.org/feed. This allows you to enter the RSS feed into the address field and it will identify any errors or potential recommendations to make your feed more compatible and avoid future problems. For example, if I take the feed from our podcast and feed it into the website, it comes back and tells me that it's a valid RSS feed, but it does have a couple of recommendations on ways to improve things. Now in some cases, you may not be able to change these if these are being driven by the host provider. But these also might get fixed when you run it through our next service which is the ability to optimize the feed with Feedburner. What you're looking for here is you want to clean things up. So seeing potential errors, like these here, can be useful. It's not saying that it's critical, but these are some things that will improve the compatibility. When I enter the address in and click check, what's most useful is that the feedback here includes links to help articles. So not only does it tell you about potential problems, but it gives you the number of times that it appears in the feed, and a link to a useful article so you can read more and dig in. This will help you better understand what needs to be adjusted or potential solutions that you can implement.
