- So you've spent the last seven hours shooting, and the next morning you wake up to find out that your memory card is missing. Now all those shots and all those long hours are just a fading memory unless you've taken the time to diligently back up your files. This movie is all about backing up your files to make sure that you minimize your risk. So my first piece of advice when it comes to laptops on the road is to get something that is 15 inches or smaller. A lot of the compartments, especially with knapsacks, only fit 15-inch laptops. There are some that do fit 17-inch, but then the amount of options that you have isn't as great so I definitely recommend a 15-inch laptop. For my trip in particular, I used just a Macbook Pro. It was a 2013. It had 16 gigabytes of RAM and a 700-gigabyte hard drive installed inside an SSD hard drive for fast-moving storage, and this worked great for my trip. It was perfect for my needs.
